Consent to Electronic Records & Signatures

This consent describes how electronic records and signatures work on the Dentist Owners platform, consistent with the U.S. federal E-SIGN Act and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA).

1. Consent to electronic records and signatures

By signing an agreement on the Platform, you agree that your electronic signature is the legal equivalent of your handwritten signature, and you consent to receive and sign records electronically. You agree that the records and signatures are admissible and enforceable.

2. How signatures are captured

When you sign, we record a tamper-evident Certificate of Electronic Signature that includes the document's cryptographic hash, a signature hash binding your identity and the exact text signed, the date and time, and a reference to our append-only audit log. A signature attests to the exact bytes of the document presented to you at the time of signing.

3. System requirements

To access and retain electronic records, you need a current web browser, an internet connection, an email account, and the ability to view and save PDF files.

4. Paper copies and withdrawing consent

You may request a paper copy of any record, and you may withdraw your consent to electronic records, by contacting [Contact Email]. Withdrawing consent does not affect the validity of records or signatures made before withdrawal, and may prevent you from continuing to use the Platform.
